We are delighted to announce the launch of our new high speed imaging laser - the Firefly.
Designed from the ground up to be a versatile, powerful illumination source for many high speed imaging tasks, including PIV, flow visualisation, spray patternation, weld imaging and particle sizing. With pulse durations as short as 500ns, and repetition frequency up to 10kHz, the laser enhances your high-speed camera's capabilities.

The Firefly laser features accurate control of pulse duration, many triggering options, programmable delay and up to 10 pulse burst mode. The compact, sealed head protects the laser optics and makes the system dust-proof and splash-proof (full waterproofing is available as an optional extra).

All you need for imaging

We've worked hard to ensure that the laser is all you need for high speed imaging applications (beside a camera). The laser includes:

10kHz pulse rate

Free run at 10kHz, with no run-time restrictions

Fully adjustable integrated focussing optics

Switch between light sheet and area illumination with a twist. No need to add extra lenses to shape the beam

Compact head and controller

Head dimensions of only 125x70x220mm

Multiple trigger modes

Use the laser as the master clock, or trigger directly from your camera. Even trigger directly from CCTV cameras with no additional components

Air Cooled

No additional cooling systems are required

Full computer control

Control the laser settings from your computer. Also fully integrated with Oxford Lasers' software.
