Firefly Laser Upgraded to 300W

The Firefly high speed imaging laser has proved exceedingly popular since we launched it last year and we're now able to announce that it has been upgraded to offer 300W laser pulses. This increases the range of applications that the laser can be used in and means that larger areas or faster flows can be imaged successfully.

As part of our spray pattern, particle sizing, PIV, weld viewing and high speed imaging systems, the Firefly has been used in a huge range of industries including nuclear, pharmaceutical, aerospace, fire suppression, and renewable energy.

Many researchers have told us that they a hugely impressed with the performance of this compact affordable laser, which is specifically designed to make laser imaging as simple as possible - removing the need for additional external control electronics.

Waterproof

The waterproofed laser head has allowed us to use the system in very heavy liquid sprays to measure droplet sizes and spray shapes that would have been difficult to reach with other equipment. We are even able to use the laser to make PIV measurements in a water tank without any additional protection.
