When you really need to measure the drop diameter distribution in a fast moving plume, the VisiSizer N60 is the ideal characterization system. Designed with a short pulse laser which will freeze the motion of particles travelling at Mach 10 (magnification dependant), few things move too quickly for the VisiSizer N60 droplet size measurement system.
The drop sizing system uses a high-resolution camera with a wide field of view to capture images with a large number of drops in each image. This ensures a high data rate and allows the system to provide drop shape data as well. It also means that the same imaging system provides extremely high resolution images of the formation and break-up process. These images add an extremely powerful intuitive understanding of the process for R&D and trouble shooting. The combination of quantitative and qualitative data makes image based droplet diameter measurement far more powerful than any other droplet size measurement technique.
Optional accessories allow the sizing system to be used for plume geometry and pattern measurement as well.
