Oxford Lasers is pleased to introduce our newest Firefly laser, which is ideal for weld-viewing, volumetric PIV and high-speed imaging. The 1kW laser can produce short laser pulses (220ns) at frequencies up to 50kHz and is the ideal complement to any high-speed camera, meaning that you can freeze motion and pierce through welding glare.High power weld viewing laser read more »
Oxford Lasers has released a new version of its Firefly pulsed diode laser. The 1kW high power Firefly laser is ideal for high-brightness imaging (e.g. weld viewing applications) and volumetric PIV.
Many of our customers have told us that they were very impressed with the Firefly pulsed diode laser, thanks to its versatility and ease-of-use. This laser builds on that capability by adding the ability to illuminate larger volumes for tomographic PIV and large area plasma arc and weld viewing.
The laser will trigger from almost any type of camera without any additional hardware and can be used to significantly enhance the performance of an older high-speed camera. h
We're delighted to announce that we now have a sales office in Paris, France. Our staff there are able to respond to sales enquiries relating to sub-contract laser micromachining, micromachining systems and image based measurement in French and Spanish.
Our subcontract service handles any type of laser micromachining job from one-off research and development work through to large scale production orders. Our experienced team of process experts is relied on by scientists and engineers in many industries to produce fine-features in a wide variety of materials. read more »
The Firefly high speed imaging laser has proved exceedingly popular since we launched it last year and we're now able to announce that it has been upgraded to offer 300W laser pulses. This increases the range of applications that the laser can be used in and means that larger areas or faster flows can be imaged successfully.
As part of our spray pattern, particle sizing, PIV, weld viewing and high speed imaging systems, the Firefly has been used in a huge range of industries including nuclear, pharmaceutical, aerospace, fire suppression, and renewable energy. read more »
